A person named Anybody had wandered off the path and was lost. They fell into a hole whose floor was like quicksand and they started to slowly sink down. They did nothing for a long time, even though they knew there were other people walking around the hole that seemed fine and not falling in.... Continue Reading →

The Start Of A Difficult Week

Courageous Yoga Chick

Today, I experienced a heartache unlike any other. I said goodbye to my sister for what may be the last time ever. My therapist tells me that we never know if it will be our last time seeing someone, but in this case, it’s different.

My sister has surgery on Wednesday. It’s the kind of surgery that is dangerous – life threatening for someone like her. Actually, the odds of her dying are greater than the odds of her living. However, if the doctors don’t operate, she will die a slow and painful death.

I have spent the last 6 weekends with her. I have laid in the hospital bed with her. I have laughed with her, cried with her, and reminisced with her. I have held her hand for hours. I have loved her.

Leaving her tonight was one of the hardest things I have ever done. I don’t…

Just ask me!

Hello there!

Today I have to tell you something amazing! I know I didn’t upload a blogpost yesterday and I am really, really REALLY sorry!

You probably see the image above and I am so happy! A few days ago I got this notification, but I hadn’t had the time to write a brand new blogpost about it! I do understand if you can’t read the Dutch lines below the image: ‘Comgratulations for writing 100 blogposts at MaBeautility!’. I was really surprised: time flies when you are having fun. I actually do not know how to thank you for all the support…

Review: Moonlight Melts – Handmade Soy Wax Melts

So just a few short weeks ago I was very kindly sent some gorgeous soy wax melts by the lovely Jo over at Moonlight Melts – now I was chuffed as a button to receive these because not only have I ever used wax melts before (I know), but these looked just so scrumptious! Better yet, they’re all handmade and I don’t know about you, but that just makes them all the more homey & special. I was very excited to whip my wax burner out & get cracking!

I was sent quite the selection of scents as you can see, and let me tell you they smell wonderful! I was – right from the word go – excited AF to smell the ‘Drumstick Lollies’ melt in particular – it just felt like heart-shaped nostalgia, and it smelt like it too. It’s incredibly sweet and it filled the room with…

Morning thoughts

Scarlett's BPD Corner

So, as you know, I’m still awake. I’ve been up all night. I feel a bit tired but okay. It’s a sunny day but I don’t plan to go outside. It feels good to be awake so early. I can hear seagulls outside. I’m experimenting with binaural beats, trying those videos for creative, focus, studying, etc. Once I wrote a poem while listening to a track on YouTube. I listen if the track is pleasant if it makes me feel good. Everything is evolving, ever so rapidly. I feel like I’m falling behind. I think I won’t fall behind because I use different platforms and enjoying using new apps and programs. But I’m falling behind in knowledge and work. That’s something I need to change.

I’ve been thinking a lot, as usual.  If I let go of my habit, I will give room to new positive energy to come into…
