“There are far too many silent sufferers.  Not because they don’t yearn to reach out, but because they’ve tried and found no one who cares.”
― Richelle E. GoodrichSmile Anyway

Broken hearts, broken souls, and unspoken words. Sometimes in order to mend broken hearts and piece back together shattered souls we must speak words that we’ve left unspoken. These words carry so much emotion and so much power. Guilt. Shame. Anguish. Resentfulness. Embarrassment. Humiliation. The list goes on and the list is different for every person.

Isn’t it easier to just pretend that our hearts cannot be broken and souls cannot be shattered? We’re constantly told how much strength we possess and how our will and drive to success will overcome every obstacle. But success will only come if we keep our heads down, keep our nose clean, and remain silent.

Let’s phrase it a different way. Isn’t it just easier to live a lie from day to day? Eventually, those days get harder. That lie gets heavier. And one day, those words that you’ve held back for so long will need to be freed. Prey hide silently from their predators. Once a predator finds its prey, what use is fighting a battle already lost?

The battle is only lost if you lose the courage to speak out. Give yourself permission to speak the unspoken. Accept that you are vulnerable. And understand that you are not alone in this battle. Because it is in that moment of acceptance and understanding that you will transform from prey to fighter to advocate.

Unheard Princess was created as a platform and a catalyst to inspire dialogue, to inspire the flow of words without apology. We all have a story to tell.

We’ve left our stories unspoken for far too long and we’re here to tell ours.

We hope you’ll eventually find the strength and courage to share yours as well.

If you would like us to share your story, please contact us at unheardprincess@gmail.com. Your identity will never be revealed and your story will be heard. You never know how many hearts will connect with your words.
